The District mission is to acquire, preserve, protect, and operated regional parklands in perpetuity for public use, while conserving these lands for natural resources. The abundant and diverse assortment of birds, mammals, reptiles, and invertebrates that dwell in the regional parks is an integral part of the ecology of the San Francisco Bay Area and an aesthetic natural feature of the parks that visitors greatly enjoy.
Beginning Memorial Day weekend (Saturday, May 25), the Park District is launching a pilot project to streamline entry at Del Valle Regional Park on weekends and holidays (including Friday, July 5). In late spring and summer, entering Del Valle can be very challenging on weekends and holidays as cars line up to pay for parking at the entry kiosk. Long wait times have been reported.
Commemorating the memory of Dr. King’s legacy - his advocacy, sacrifices, and messages to bring about social. economic, and environmental justice for all and to continue the dream to inspire today’s youth in our East Bay communities.
The Wildlife Volunteers are a group of caring people of all ages striving to improve the quality of life for birds and wildlife in the East Bay Regional Park District.
