After more than 20 years of negotiations and planning, and one year of intensive repairs, a popular roadway-turned-trail was reborn and reopened to the public on Saturday, November 8 by the East Bay Regional Park District (EBRPD).
The East Bay Regional Park District and program partners were recognized at the annual California Parks & Recreation Society conference, held in Long Beach, California, March 8 – 11, 2016.
The East Bay Regional Park District's 2013 Master Plan won the 2015 Award of Excellence for 'Comprehensive Plan - Large Jurisdiction' from the American Planning Association, California Chapter, Northern Section (NorCal APA). NorCal APA covers a total of 16 counties: all 9 Bay Area counties and Del Norte, Humboldt, Mendocino, Lake, Santa Cruz, San Benito and Monterey counties.
The California Association of Public Information Officials (CAPIO) announced the winners of the 2015 CAPIO Excellence in Communications Awards program at their Awards Gala April 15, 2015 in Long Beach.
