Join us for a "day on" to celebrate the Martin Luther King Jr Service Day Event! This year there are TWO ways you can participate.
(In-Person) Martin Luther King Jr Day of Service – Monday Jan 17th
This is a staggered start time event where you can help remove the trash and plastic pollution at three different locations at the Martin Luther King Jr Shoreline. Registration
(Self-guided) 2022 Martin Luther King Jr Neighborhood Cleanup: January 17 to February 17
Participate throughout the month by cleaning your neighborhoods, parks, and other local areas. Assemble your own gear and clean on your own time without any crowds. More Info
Virtual Celebration of the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. – Monday, January 17 at 10:00 a.m.
Celebrate live with us on January 17 at 10 am at the 30th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Multicultural Rally. Guest speakers include Congresswoman Barbara Lee and CA State Attorney General Rob Bonta. Online Interpretive Program Honoring Dr. Martin L. King, Jr. – Monday, January 17, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Learn about the creation of the MLK holiday, and the legacy that Dr. King left behind. We will take a look at his beginnings and all the way through to the final chapters of his life. We will discuss elements of his famous "I Have a Dream" speech. Location: Program Link
