Jessica Romeo Hired as East Bay Regional Park District Assistant General Manager
The East Bay Regional Park District (EBRPD) General Manager Sabrina Landreth announced today her hiring of Jessica Romeo as Assistant General Manager of Human Resources. Romeo joins EBRPD from the City of Alameda, where she served nearly nine years, most recently as Human Resources Director.
Romeo has a demonstrated history of working in government administration. She is a seasoned human resources professional with extensive experience in public sector leadership, labor relations, and workforce development. She holds a Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco School of Law and a Bachelor’s degree from UC Santa Cruz, providing her with a strong foundation in policy, governance, and organizational strategy.
Romeo is passionate about building people-centered organizations and focuses on fostering collaborative relationships, improving workforce planning, and creating inclusive environments where employees can succeed. She is committed to ensuring workplace policies align with broader strategic goals, supporting both employees and the communities they serve. A lifelong East Bay resident, Jessica grew up in the unincorporated area of Clayton and has spent her life exploring and enjoying East Bay Regional Parks. From childhood adventures on local trails to a deep gratefulness for the region’s natural beauty as an adult, her connection to the area has shaped her dedication to public service. She is committed to strengthening organizations that serve local communities, ensuring workplaces reflect the values of equity, accessibility, and sustainability that make the East Bay a thriving place to live and work.
