CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS in East Bay Regional Parks

A National Weather Service-Bay Area Red Flag Warning is in effect for East Bay Regional Parks Thursday, Oct. 17, at 11 p.m. through Saturday, Oct. 19, at 5 p.m. due to high winds and critically low fuel moisture levels. Level 2 Fire Restrictions are in place. EBRPD is increasing patrol resources.
The Park District is asking visitors to follow all fire safety rules and exercise extreme caution when visiting the parks.
Parks and trails are open but closures in high wind areas are possible. Park status is subject to change depending on conditions. Check www.ebparks.org before heading to a park.
FIRE SAFETY RULES:
🚫🔥NO OPEN FIRES OR BARBECUES OF ANY TYPE. Only gas-fueled stoves/barbecues allowed, with conditions.
🚫🚬NO smoking, including vaping.
🚫🎆NO fireworks.
🚫⛽NO gasoline-powered equipment outside of irrigated areas, designated campgrounds, or developed recreational areas.
🚫🚗NO off-road driving. Heat from vehicle undercarriage can start a fire.
🔐⛓️SECURE tow chains – dragging tow chains can spark fires.
