2023 Public Safety Awards
Congratulations to our 2023 Public Safety Awards Recipients Detective David Haro and Dispatcher Supervisor Brian Hagebusch. Officer of the Year David Haro has has been with the District since 2016 and is currently a detective in the Investigations Unit. Dispatcher of the Year Brian Hagebusch has been with the District since 2007 and is currently Dispatch Supervisor.
Officer of The Year
Detective Dave Haro
Detective Haro has been an officer since 2016 and is currently in the Investigations Unit. He is a specialist when it comes to solving serial auto burglary cases. He is always available to help, works well with the District Attorney’s office. When a homicide occurred at MLK last summer, he was able to solve the case within a few days. Dave is the senior detective in the unit and has shown great leadership over the past year. Congratulations on being selected as the Officer of the Year!
Dispatcher of The Year
Dispatcher Supervisor Brian Hagebusch
Brian has worked as a Dispatcher since 2007 and has served as a Dispatch Supervisor since 2012. He provides excellent customer service in all areas of his duties. He is the lead communications training officer and has completely adapted the training program for new dispatchers. We have seen a marked improvement and retention in our newly hired dispatchers because of Brian’s dedication and commitment to retaining dispatchers. Congratulations on being selected as the Dispatcher of the Year!
