The Park District has been notified of another City of Oakland sewer spill (5/20/20) affecting Lake Temescal. The lake will be closed until further notice to all fishing and water contact.

Park District Asks Visitors to Wear Cloth Face Coverings When Within Six Feet of Others in Parks

On Friday, April 17, 2020, a “Cover Your Face” order was issued for five Bay Area counties – San Francisco, San Mateo, Marin, Contra Costa, and Alameda – asking the public to carry cloth face coverings and wear them when within six feet of others, including when hiking, running, and biking.
