About the Facility

Once a waterfront cafe, the Shoreline Center sits on the shores of the San Leandro Bay at the MLK Jr. Regional Shoreline. With its mid-century modern architecture and deck with panoramic views of the bay and East Bay hills, the Shoreline Center is an oasis right in the geographic center of the Bay Area.

Open Houses and Scheduling Tours

  • To view the Brazilian Room, please join us at our open houses, the first and third Tuesdays of each month. Until further notice, we are unable to hold tours outside of these events. 
  • To schedule a tour of the Beach House or Fern Cottage, please contact the Rental Facilities office at (510) 544-3164. 
  • We are not currently offering tours for the Shoreline Center due to closure, please check back.
