About the Facility

Once a park residence and then a senior center, Fern Cottage is nestled amongst ferns and groves of redwood trees within the Kennedy Grove Regional Recreation Area. With two outdoor decks, a private backyard with a landscaped lawn and garden, and a cozy stove pipe fireplace, Fern Cottage feels like a little home away from home.

Open Houses and Scheduling Tours

  • To view the Brazilian Room, please join us at our open houses, the first and third Tuesdays of each month. Until further notice, we are unable to hold tours outside of these events. 
  • To schedule a tour of the Beach House or Fern Cottage, please contact the Rental Facilities office at (510) 544-3164. 
  • We are not currently offering tours for the Shoreline Center due to closure, please check back.
