Roberts Picnic Areas - Oakland

There are eight (8) reservable sites at Roberts Regional Recreation Area. Beer and wine are allowed without a permit. There is a parking fee.

Anna Costa Picnic Area (50 person capacity)

Maximum site capacity is 50
Partially Shaded. Anna Costa is not located in the main area of the park, but further north on Skyline Blvd with a separate parking lot at the Redwood Bowl staging area. This site requires a short walk uphill. Parking is 400 yards away. 

This site is not suitable for guests with mobility concerns.

Bay Vista Picnic Area (100 person capacity)

Maximum site capacity is 100
This is a popular site for weddings.  Flush toilets are 75 yards away. It is a short, uphill walk from the parking lot. For weddings, the site must be combined with the Madrone site. 

*Must reserve both Bay Vista and Madrone for a wedding

Huckleberry Picnic Area (75 person capacity)

Maximum site capacity is 75
This site is very shady as is it under the redwood grove. The parking lot is 50 yards away. This is a popular wedding site. For weddings, the site must be combined with the Roberts site. The playground and pool are across the parking lot. Flush toilets are 100 yards away.

*Must reserve both Huckleberry and Roberts Grove for a wedding

Madrone Picnic Area (50 person capacity)

Maximum site capacity is 50
This site is very shady as is it under the redwood grove. Flush toilets are 100 yards away. This is a popular wedding site.  For weddings, the site must be combined with the Bay Vista site.

Oak Picnic Area (35 person capacity)

Maximum site capacity is 35
Flush toilets nearby. It is a shady site located on the far side of the upper lawn area adjacent to the children's play area. It is a short walk uphill. The swimming pool is a short walk away. The parking lot is 75 yards away.

Redwood Bowl Picnic Area (50 person capacity)

Maximum site capacity is 50
Redwood Bowl is not located in the main park area of Roberts Park, but further north on Skyline Blvd with a separate parking lot at the Redwood Bowl staging area. Parking 300 yards away from site. This site requires a short walk uphill. Shady or Partially Shaded. It is located adjacent to a large lawn area and restrooms. 

This site is not suitable for guests with mobility concerns.

This site is very shady as is it under the redwood grove. The parking lot is 75 yards away. This is a popular wedding site. For weddings, the site must be combined with the Huckleberry site.

Sycamore Picnic Area (50 person capacity)

This site requires a short walk uphill. The parking lot and flush toilets are 100 yards away. It is a partially shady site located at the end of a lawn area that is shared with the children's play structure on the left side of the park.
