KENNEDY GROVE REGIONAL RECREATION AREA - After the winter rains, ferns begin unfurling their lush, juicy fronds. Kennedy Grove hosts a nice collection of ferns within its diverse plant communities. Let’s check on the ferns’ progress and appreciate the varied species we encounter. Steep hills and uneven terrain. Wear sturdy shoes and bring water. Hiking poles are helpful. Meet near the restroom by the main lawn.
