This fire season, the East Bay Regional Park District has been busy with three Fire Hazard Reduction Crews and three goat herds working to thin and remove vegetation at 40 targeted sites in the East Bay Hills.
On September 12th, East Bay Regional Park District held a grand opening dedication in pinole for the new Pinole Shores Bay Trail and Bridge.

On November 6 voters in western Alameda and Contra Costa counties overwhelmingly passed Measure FF with 85.6% of the vote.
The Park District thanks voters for approval of Measure FF and appreciates the thousands of residents in the community that participated in the election.
The Park District is proud to have one of the most dog-friendly policies in the entire country, allowing dogs at most parks and even off-leash at many.

To celebrate the East Bay Regional Park District’s 85th Anniversary, the Park District has planned a number of special events and programs, including Free Park Fridays, free Concerts in the Parks, and the District's first-ever Fall Arts and Music Festival (FAM Fest!).
