- Update November 10, 2009:
- Tremendous progress has been made on the Serpentine Prairie Restoration Project, Phase I. Major tree thinning and removal was completed in October. The final portion of this project is to install the fence around the most sensitive area. Presently, the posts are being installed and the fence material is scheduled to be put up on Wednesday, November 11 or Thursday, November 12. Park District staff will be seeding some local native grasses in the most disturbed areas and will be re-cutting some of the tree stumps.
- A draft Presidio clarkia and vegetation treatment monitoring report will be completed in the next week or so and posted online.
