Five Canyons Open Space
About The Park
Five Canyons Open Space in Castro Valley has more than 237 acres of open space and five miles of trails, including a vital segment of the Bay Area Ridge Trail, a nine-county ridgeline trail circling the San Francisco Bay Region. This multi-use trail segment makes connections to the north through Cull Canyon Regional Recreation Area and beyond, and to the west to Don Castro Regional Recreation Area, providing connections to two local schools. In the future, this trail will link adjacent parklands and trails to the south, including Garin and Dry Creek Regional Parks and Mission Peak Regional Preserve.
