Beach Club Café - Now Open - Lake Anza

Beach Club Café - Now Open - Lake AnzaAdding to the Summer fun of Lake Anza in Tilden Park is the new Lake Anza Beach Club café. The café offers a wide variety of high-quality, fresh foods and beverages for perfect picnics on the lake.

For generations, Lake Anza has been a popular destination during the Bay Area Summers. As the days grow long and warm, residents, day-trip groups and tourists flock to the lake and beach for sunning, swimming and picnicking.

Now, concessionaires Daniel Bergerac and Eddie Lundeen are adding to the fun with the Lake Anza Beach Club café. “The lake has always been the perfect Summer picnic place, so we felt that offering quality food at family-friendly prices would make a great addition to the park.”

The classic lake atmosphere is where the charm lies, as Mr. Bergerac adds, "I’ve enjoyed this lake for more years than I can remember. There’s a certain sort of ‘old-fashioned fun’ feel to it, so you see a lot of families enjoying some real, quality-time together, outside of the fast-moving, digital lifes we live from day-to-day.”

The Beach Club café menu includes the Summer classics such as soft-serve ice cream, hot dogs, nachos and icees, as well as health-conscious items such as fresh sandwiches and natural treats. In addition, the café boasts a full espresso bar featuring superior-quality, locally roasted Catahoula Coffee. “Life’s too short for a bad latte!” quips Lundeen.

The café is open daily from 11AM to 6PM.

About the Lake Anza Beach Club café: The café is operated by concessionaires Daniel Bergerac and Eddie Lundeen. The gentlemen also operate Mudpuppys Tub and Scrub dog wash, and the Sit and Stay Café, both located at Point Isabel Regional Shoreline Park in Richmond.

About Lake Anza: The lake is located in Tilden Regional Park. Tilden is considered the jewel of the park system, and its recreational activities have become a happy tradition for generations of East Bay youngsters. The lake’s facilities include locker rooms, showers and parking, and the park provides lifeguards on duty during operating hours.
