CAJUN/ZYDECO FESTIVAL
Annual Festival to be held at Ardenwood Historic Farm August 23

Cajun/Zydeco FestivalArdenwood Historic Farm in Fremont will host the 12th Annual Cajun Zydeco festival on Saturday, August 23. This year the festival is a month earlier than it has been in the past – so be sure to let your friends know. The festival will showcase some of the best Louisiana French Cajun/Zydeco music and dancing. Musical entertainment will feature The Creole Belles, Queen Ida and her Zydeco Band, Andre Thierry & Zydeco Magic, Lil Guyland Leday & The Family & Friends Zydeco Band, Roy Carrier and the Night Rockers (entertainment may be subject to change). Treat yourself to a delicious variety of Cajun food, specialty vendors, and dance lessons. Gates open at 10 a.m., live music will play from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Enjoy the day at Ardenwood Farm surrounded by fields of organic produce, farm animals, and the historic Patterson House. Take the train from the entrance to the festival site. Bring a blanket, low-back lawn chair, sunblock, and hat. Wear your dancing shoes! Alcohol prohibited. Please purchase beverages inside festival. NO PETS allowed.

Proceeds benefit the Park Express Transportation Program for low-income schools and groups serving senior or disabled persons visiting the East Bay Regional Parks. Additional donations welcome. Contact the Regional Parks Foundation: 510-544-2202

Ardenwood Historic Farm is located on Ardenwood Boulevard just north of Highway 84 (Dumbarton Expressway) in Fremont. Tickets at Gate: $20, Children 4 – 15 $3. Order tickets by August 15 and save! (Adults $16, children $2). Children under 4 free.
