Annual Four Seasons Journal Adds Color Photos
The Four Seasons, Journal of the Regional Parks Botanic Garden, is the historic journal founded by celebrated writer-conservationist James Roof, founding director of the garden. It includes both technical scientific papers and popular ones, dealing with a range of California natural science topics, often including studies of botanical hotspots in the Bay Area. Its articles are often longer than what one may find in most journals, allowing unusually in-depth treatments. This 2008 color edition features a chapter titled “The Last Days of Livermore” by Stephen W. Edwards and Christopher Thayer and a chapter titled “Plant Explorations In and Around the Carquinez Strait” by Bert Johnson. Visit the Friends of the Regional Parks Botanic Garden for more information on purchasing a copy or about membership.
Subscription to The Four Seasons is a membership benefit of the Friends.
