EAST RIDGE TRAIL PROJECT
AT REDWOOD REGIONAL PARK
The East Bay Regional Park District will be conducting trail repairs to a section of East Ridge Trail adjacent to Skyline Gate.
The project includes removing soil, compacting new fill, and installing permanent drains.

Trail Information
Trail Information: A 0.2 mile section of East Ridge Trail from the Skyline Gate Staging Area to the junction of Skyline National Trail and Phillip’s Loop will be CLOSED during work hours - Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. For safety reasons, park visitors are not allowed in the closed area during this time.
The trail will be OPEN Monday through Friday before 8 a.m. and after 5 p.m. and weekends and major holidays for the duration of the project.
Hikers and equestrians may access Skyline Gate via Stream Trail or West Ridge Trail. Skyline National Trail to Huckleberry Preserve and Sibley and Phillips’ Loop will remain open. Mountain bikes will only have access to Skyline Gate via West Ridge Trail.

Funding
This project is part of a FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency)-approved storm repair plan and has gone through regulatory review. FEMA and the State of California are funding this project.
