Watch General Manager Robert Doyle and EBRPD Board of Directors in a video celebrating the re-opening of this beautiful regional shoreline park.

Bay Point Regional Shoreline reopened on Friday, November 20, 2020 after being closed for 14 months for construction of habitat restoration and major public access improvements. The project, officially known as the Bay Point Regional Shoreline Habitat Restoration and Public Access Project, includes additional parking, bathrooms, picnic areas, drinking fountains, and walking and hiking trails.

The project significantly improves recreational opportunities and access to nature for residents in Eastern Contra Costa County, an area that has limited access to outdoor recreation. The project was also designed and built to withstand climate change impacts, including extreme weather and sea level rise. Public access improvements and habitat are expected to withstand 2080 sea levels.
